This policy explains what information CouponsRiver collects when you visit this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Plain-language summary: We do not require you to create an account. We use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We earn affiliate commissions when you click outbound links and make a qualifying purchase — at no extra cost to you. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

1. Who we are

CouponsRiver (couponsriver.com) is an editorial website that publishes verified discount codes and reviews for AI tools, SaaS applications, and online software. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean CouponsRiver. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@couponsriver.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect two categories of information:

2a. Information collected automatically

When you visit any page on this site, our analytics providers automatically receive:

  • Page URLs visited and referrer URL
  • Browser type, device class, and operating system
  • Approximate geographic location (country / city, derived from IP — the full IP address is not stored by us)
  • Time on page and scroll depth (aggregate)
  • Coupon-reveal and outbound-click events (no personally identifiable information is attached to these events)

This data is processed by Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID G-F5Q8V3G0CM) and Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, and web-analytics services). Neither we nor those providers are able to identify you personally from this data alone.

2b. Information you give us voluntarily

  • Contact messages — name, email address, and message body submitted through our contact page or sent directly to our email addresses.
  • Newsletter sign-up — email address, if we operate a newsletter in future. We will update this policy if we do.

3. How we use information

  • Analytics and site improvement — understanding which pages are most useful, which coupon categories perform well, and where the site can be improved. Data is reviewed in aggregate, not at the individual level.
  • Security and abuse prevention — detecting unusual traffic patterns, scraping, or fraudulent activity via Cloudflare security services.
  • Responding to messages — replying to enquiries submitted via the contact page or sent directly to our email addresses.
  • Affiliate attribution — when you click an affiliate link, the vendor's tracking system records the referral so commissions can be attributed correctly. This is handled by the vendor's systems, not by us.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. CouponsRiver and the third-party services we use may set cookies or use similar tracking technologies (local storage, pixel beacons) for the following purposes:

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (typically _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visits and sessions.
  • Cloudflare cookies — Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm cookie for bot-management and security purposes.
  • Session / interaction state — we may use browser session storage to remember which coupon codes you have already revealed in the current session. This is not transmitted to any server.

We do not set advertising or retargeting cookies. We cannot guarantee that third-party affiliate networks do not set their own cookies when you click outbound links; each vendor's own privacy policy governs that activity.

Your choices: You can view, block, or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies will not prevent the site from working. Instructions for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari.

5. FTC affiliate disclosure

FTC Disclosure: In compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 — Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, we disclose that CouponsRiver is reader-supported. Many of the outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying purchase, CouponsRiver may earn a commission from the vendor — at no additional cost to you. The commission is paid by the vendor out of their own margin.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. A coupon code is either verified at checkout or it is not, regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists for that vendor. We do not accept payment to publish, rank, or remove offers. Brand names and logos used on this site are for editorial identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Third-party services

The following third-party services may process data about visitors to this site:

  • Google Analytics 4 — traffic and engagement analytics. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DDoS protection, bot management, and optionally Cloudflare Web Analytics. Governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Affiliate networks and vendors — when you click an outbound affiliate link, the destination vendor and any affiliate network they use will process your visit under their own privacy policies.
  • Email / contact providers — messages sent to our email addresses are handled by our email provider. We do not use a third-party CRM or marketing platform at this time.

7. Data retention

Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics and Cloudflare according to their own retention policies (typically 14 months for GA4 user-level data). Contact messages are retained until the matter is resolved, after which they are deleted. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data to third parties.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA) to:

  • Access — request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete personal information we hold (subject to any legal obligations to retain it).
  • Objection / opt-out — opt out of analytics tracking using browser controls or the Google Analytics opt-out tool listed above.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@couponsriver.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's privacy

CouponsRiver is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact privacy@couponsriver.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Links to other websites

This site contains links to third-party websites. Once you leave couponsriver.com, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
